Before installation, measure the room, to understand how many boards you will need. If the installation is to be laid directly on a concrete foundation along an aligned and primed rough screed, then it is required to lay a layer of waterproof polyethylene film to exclude moisture transfer from the concrete screed; and on top – a roll cork substrate with a thickness of 2 mm, which neutralizes minor surface irregularities. In a wooden house with wooden ceilings, you can do it without a film. These cork covers are classified as “floating” floors, and therefore it is impermissible to fix the covering directly to the base.
