Cork Textile collection is another Cork House finding in interior design, particularly in floor design. “Vichy” cork flooring series was launched in production as part of this collection. “Vichy” is a checked two-color picture (or ornament), which is a result of two colour lines in crossing. When the lines cross, a check gets a new color.

Creating the “Vichy” cork floor series, from the Cork Textile collection, Cork House designers got their inspiration from the famous French check on textile. The French checked textile got its name from a small city in France, where in 1850 the checked pattern was created.
The principle of creating this pattern is to have linen or twill threads of two colors interlace. Initially these were white and red threads. Later, instead of red, the blue colour was used. Cork House went further and offers a variety of colour solutions for “Vichy” cork floor.
